Paragraph Stacker asks readers and listeners to donate in order to keep the blog and podcast going

Hey, it’s the ol’ Paragraph Stacker, Daniel Finney, your friendly neighborhood former newspaper columnist, and current middle school teacher.

Since I got the boot from corporate media, I’ve maintained this blog and podcast at http://ParagraphStacker.com. Many of you have found this content through my Facebook page or elsewhere on the web. Some write to tell me they’re glad to reconnect with me.

Here’s the rub: It costs me money to keep my content free. I’m trying to raise enough money to pay for the annual domain name renewal and for a professional redesign, which is offered by the company I use to publish my writing and podcast.

I try not to hassle people for money, but if you enjoy the content and would like it to continue, toss in a few bucks. I usually suggest $5 a month as a subscription and a few people do that.

We need to raise $150 soon because the domain name expires at the end of the month. I should have been on top of this, but my new job as a teacher uses a lot of brain glucose.

I’ve started a GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/paragraphstackercom.

I hope to hear from you soon. You can also reach me on Venmo @newsmanone or through PayPal and Zelle; the specifics are at the bottom of any website entry.

Thanks in advance for your support and, as always, be kind and behave.

Daniel P. Finney wrote for newspapers for 27 years before being laid off in 2020. He teaches middle school English now. He writes columns and podcasts for ParagraphStacker.com, a free, reader-supported website. Please consider donating $10 a month to help him cover the expenses of this site.

Thanks for setting up go fund me account. That’s much easier to be able to donate. I hope you can get there because it would really suck if I couldn’t listen to my favorite podcast ever! Keep us updated please. Nancy GILCHRIST
